Joseph Campbell once said “Your sacred place is where you can find yourself over and over again”. For me, that place is Lake Tahoe and a certain 900 sq ft cabin up in the back streets against the mountain ranges.
We’re here for a few days with the pup, enjoying the snow and the quiet and the slowness of life. There is something about this place that pulls me back from all the hectic rhythms of everyday life. I can actually feel my muscles start to unwind and my head clear. I can sit with a cup of coffee and look at the window to a field of snow, surrounded by dusted pine groves and know that right now, this is enough.
